It should be noted that the 1961 release date is for this vinyl 12 inch LP. The music, from the Chappell Library, was originally issued in 1956 on 10 inch 78 rpm shellac discs, numbered C.541 to C.547. The performances are by the Danish State Radio Orchestra conducted by Robert Farnon. The credited Melodi Light Orchestra conducted by Ole Jensen are fictitious names used during the long-running British musicians' strike over pay and conditions, 1950 to 1959.
